Zeplin integrats with XD CC
The wait is over now, few months ago zeplin announced to begin integration zeplin with adove xd cc. After the announcement zeplin team recieved tons of emails regarding this. The reaction was overwhelming people asking about the release and when it will be live.
Since then zeplin team worked very hard with XD team to build a reliable integration of Zeplin with XD and Today the whole world is excited on this launch.
How to start
The export of design is so simple and easy all you have to do is to update your Adobe XD CC and zeplin to latest version
Another thing need to mention is the integration of zeplin with xd is available only for MACOS only for now so keep calm to get it on windows
Ater installing xd and get registered on Zeplin you will noticed an option in XD menu
File >> Export >> Zeplin
Just select the artboard you want to export and follow the menu given above.
Shortcut
Command + alt + E is the shortcut for the export setting u did last time so once you export something to zeplin next time if you want to export again dont need to walk into menues just use this shortcut “Command + alt + E” and your design will be exported to zeplin.
This will take you to the zeplin and you can continue further, your designs are integrate with zeplin now with all assets, code and specs.
How to setup assets
Zeplin smartly export the assets images automatically that are generated from layers in XD and marked to export. All you have to do is open layer panel and hover the layer you will find the icon with arrow just click on this arrow “mark for export” and this image will marked to be exported.
Another great thing you dont need to get worried about sizes of different devices or resolutions Zeplin will do it all itself and generates all necessary images in different scales and resolutions, all the assets generated automatically. Just click on the layer in zeplin and you will get all required assets with design guideline.
Tip
You can also select single layer or group of layer instead of artboard also to export to zeplin
